Injuries are just a
part of life for NHL teams. Injuries to key players are something completely
different. Teams like the Red Wings, Leafs, Blues and Islanders are going to
be experiencing that for at least the first half of this NHL season. How
will they adapt? We try and offer a few clues.

of the Blues' blueline and will need to prove it now. |

His grit will be harder to replace
than his scoring. Look for Tom Fitzgerald to pick up the slack in
that regard. Offensively the burden will fall on Alyn McCauley and
Jonas Hoglund. |
